PROMISE PegasusPROMISE Technology said it has the first RAID direct attached storage for Intel's Thunderbolt bus.

PROMISE's Pegasus comes in 4-bay (R4) and 6-bay (R6) models supporting RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 1 with hot spare, RAID 5, RAID 50, RAID 6, RAID 60 and RAID 10 modes

Both Pegasus enclosures have two Thunderbolt ports, aluminum enclosures and smart fans for reduced system noise. They will require Mac OS 10.6.6 or higher.

Pegasus will start shipments sometime next quarter. Pricing was not announced.
