Synology logo Synology has opened a public beta of its new NAS OS.

Changes and improvements in the DiskStation Manager (DSM) 3.2 beta include:

- the option to function as part of an existing LDAP environment or to create a new one
- syslog server
- remote folder service
- ISO mounts
- remote management from iOS and Android devices
- Google Cloud Print support
- support for Mac OS Lion and new Time Machine protocol
- backup versioning

The beta is supported on DiskStation models x08 and newer. More information will be available later today.
